32nd Annual KAHC Golf Tournament

From June 8, 2026, 10:30 am to June 8, 2026, 6:30 pm

More Information

The 32nd Annual KAHC Golf Tournament will be held on Monday, June 8th! Register your foursome now! The tournament is limited to 240 golfers and our slots will fill up quickly.

The event will be held on the two courses at the University Club in Lexington, Kentucky to accommodate the large turnout we expect. The tournament will be divided into two flights to increase speed of play. As in prior years, we will use handicaps to determine “A” & “B” flights. The winners will be determined by lowest gross score. We will be paying prize money for the top four finishers along with two other random teams from each flight. This means that twelve teams will receive prize money - six from each flight.

SPONSORS
As always, we appreciate our many sponsors who make this event possible. Since the A and B divisions will be playing different courses, you will want to consider a hole sponsorship for both courses. A sign(s) displaying your company name will be placed on a tee box and your company will be listed as a sponsor on the rules sheet placed in each golf cart. Monies received from sponsorships will be returned to the participants in the form of prizes and gifts.

District Partnering Meetings

KAHC, in partnership with KYTC central office and district personnel, have successfully executed our 2026 KYTC/KAHC District Partnering Meetings.  The six meetings saw approximately 440 industry and state personnel come together to discuss the benefits and uses of formal and informal partnering, updates from the districts on their upcoming programs and priorities, and updates from KYTC leadership and the central office Division of Construction.  These meetings provided excellent content while also providing great networking opportunities for all who attended.

Our most sincere thank you goes out to the KYTC attendees, especially those leaders who helped make the content for the sessions.  And we appreciate KYTC’s continued support for further use and adoption of partnering and partnering principles when delivering KYTC projects.  Have a safe construction season!

KHI HOSTS ANNUAL LEGISLATIVE DAY- January 21, 2026

KAHC organized and helped host the 2026 KHI Legislative Day last week.  In spite of inclement weather, we had strong industry representation at this year’s event.  We started the day with breakfast and hearing from The Governor’s Chief Advisor, Rocky Adkins.  We also enjoyed a legislative update from KAHC’s government affairs partner Rachel Bayens, with Government Strategies.  We then departed for the Capitol Annex where members took the opportunity to attend legislative committee meetings and have meetings with their local representatives and senators.

Then, the group came together to hear from legislative leaders about their perspectives on the session, and on legislation that is important to our industry.  We were honored to speak with the following legislators:

  • House BR Sub Transportation Chair, Ken Upchurch
  • Senator Craig Richardson
  • Senate A&R Chair Chris McDaniels
  • Senate Floor Leader Max Wise
  • Senate Transportation Chair Jimmy Higdon
  • House Floor Leader Steven Rudy

We closed the evening with a legislative reception where our members were joined by over 20 legislators, many of which have a direct role in the transportation processes of the General Assembly.

We express our most sincere gratitude to the legislators and industry members who invested the time to make this a valuable day of discussions and advocacy for all involved. And a final thanks to all the members who invested their time to be a part of the legislative process and participating in this day’s events.
